"So many parents desire to find ways to connect with their children. In today’s day and age, children are over-connected to social media, their phones, or televisions and other devices. The world outside can also feel overwhelming, scary and stressful. Sometimes parents struggle to think of ways to connect to their children or don’t have the means to pay for fun ways to connect. Douglas County Department of Human Services supports many families each day and would appreciate if you could help support our families by putting together baskets that aide parents in more deeply connecting with their children. Please join us in a drive to collect baskets of joy for young families."

Give the gift of quality time to a family navigating foster care or reunification. The Family Fun Kit combines a hearty meal with activities like games, books, and treats to help parents and children bond. Help us turn a simple dinner into a 'Meal + Memory' that strengthens family ties.
Sleep Tight Basket
Many children entering foster care or reuniting with parents are sleeping on donated mattresses without sheets, or sharing beds. A "Sleep Tight" kit ensures their first night is warm, personal, and safe.
